“Sunderland Spooky Stories” will be back this Autumn.
This 500-word story-writing competition for all the ‘brave’ kids in Sunderland aims to promote literacy, creative writing, writing resilience, and above all, have some spooky fun!
The Spooky Story competition is part of Sunderland’s Halloween programme, partnered with Sunderland Libraries Services as part of the Sunderland Libraries’ Literature Festival that happens each year in October.
The deadline for entries will be Friday 7 October, with a winners presentation night on Friday 21 October.
The age categories are 5 - 9 years, 10 - 13 years and 14 - 18 years.
This partnership activity is supported by Sunderland BID, Sunderland Council, Sunderland Libraries, Waterstones Sunderland and Atlas Theatre Company.
